Vulnerable Sector Check applies to individuals that intend to work and/or volunteer with Vulnerable Person(s).

A Vulnerable Sector Check is required when working with children (persons under 18 years of age), persons with a mental disability or delay, the elderly, or the sick or infirm.

(e.g. Nurse, Teacher, Youth Coaches, Day Care Provider, Security Guard, Uber/Taxi Driver)
Please note: We offer a basic Criminal Record Check (CRC) OR Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) for employment and volunteer purposes. However, if you are an Ontario resident, you should apply for a volunteer check through your local police agency, as there is no fee. The Volunteer option on this site is for non-Ontario residents only.

This process is intended for persons living and working in Canada. If you are living/working outside Canada, you should obtain a police check from the RCMP through the submission of fingerprints. Click here for details.

You cannot apply on behalf of another person. Authentication questions will be based on the applicant's personal credit file, and the questions are timed to ensure a prompt response and to further enhance security and privacy. If you fail to authenticate your identification, you will be required to upload photos of your two pieces of valid Government issued identification, one ID with a photo, and take a selfie holding the same two ID provided.

The Police Criminal Records and Judicial Matters Check also includes the first level - basic CRC.

The turnaround period for police record checks is up to TWO (2) WEEKS.

There is no PRIORITY service. Record check applications are processed in the order in which they are received.
