This system allows you to apply for a police screening check 24 hours a day without having to attend our facility. All aspects of the process - including verification of your identification, and fee payment - are handled electronically.
If there are no concerns or follow-up required, you will receive an email with instructions on how to download your police screening documents. Results are only available for 31 days after the upload date, after which time you will have to reapply if you require another record check. **Ensure to check your junk/spam folder for your emails.

Record Checks for Youths
Applicants under the age of 18 are not able to use the online process. Police agencies across Ontario will no longer be permitted to disclose any youth records on record checks for non-government agencies. This means that applicants under the age of 18 will no longer be provided with a police record check, unless they can show that that it is required for a government agency.
Applicants under the age of 18 applying for any municipal, provincial or federal government jobs must attend in person at Police Headquarters, 190 Brady Street.
Currently Living Out of the Country
This process is intended for persons living and working in Canada. If you are living/working outside Canada, you should obtain a police check from the RCMP through the submission of fingerprints. Click here for details.

Expiry of a Record Check
A police record check is current as of the date it is completed. It is your employer/prospective employer or organization's function to determine if the record check is current enough to be accepted for the position applied for. The Sudbury Police Services Board, its officers, agents and employees, shall have no responsibility or obligation to make such a determination.
Incomplete Applications
Incomplete applications (i.e. no identification provided, authentication aborted / failed / not completed or further information requested will remain in the processing queue for no more than ninety (90) days from the time of initial application. Fees are non-refundable and incomplete applications will be considered 'abandoned', and removed from the processing queue after ninety (90) days.
Different Types of Record Checks
There are three levels of record checks available. The type of position you are applying for will determine which type of check you will require. In all cases you should consult with the agency, organization or employer that requires you to obtain a record check to determine which one is needed.
Please be advised that if you are applying for a CRJMC or a VS, you do not need to apply for the CRC for the same position. These checks include the CRC.
Persons requiring records checks for the purposes of Kinship are to use the Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
