IF THIS IS FOR A RECORD SUSPENSION (PARDON) APPLICATION, PLEASE APPLY HERE.
The Weyburn Police Service is now accepting online applications from all S4H postal codes, including box numbers. ANYONE WITHOUT AN S4H POSTAL CODE WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE and must apply to their local police agency.
PLEASE NOTE – IF YOU ARE WORKING WITH CHILDREN, ELDERLY OR DISABLED PERSONS YOU MUST DO A VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK (CRC-VS).
**Making a false statement, such as a non-resident declaring a local address at which they do not currently reside, will result in the discontinuation of the application process and the forfeiture of all monies paid.**
Welcome to the Weyburn Police Service Online Criminal Record Check process for volunteer and employment purposes. This system allows you to apply for a Criminal Record Check 24 hours a day, without having to attend our office. All aspects of the process - including verification of your identification and fee payment - are handled electronically. If there are no concerns or follow-up required, your record check will be available for secure download (instructions will be provided) within 2-3 days form initial application.
Please note: You must live within the city limits of the City of Weyburn to use this process. Making a false statement - such as a non-resident declaring a local address at which they do not currently reside - will result in the discontinuation of application processing and the forfeiture of all monies paid. If you live outside of Weyburn city limits, please contact your local police agency.
You cannot apply on behalf of another person. Authentication questions are based on the applicant's personal credit file, and the questions are timed to ensure a prompt response and to further enhance security and privacy.
There are two levels of record checks - with or without a Vulnerable Sector check. Vulnerable Sector checks are needed for screenings for pardoned sex offences and used in positions, employment or volunteer, involving children, elderly persons or disabled persons. The type of position you are applying for will determine which type of check you require (see chart below). In all cases, you should consult the agency, organization or employer requesting the police check to determine which one is needed.
The Weyburn Police Service charges and turnaround times are listed below. If fingerprints are required, they can be taken at Weyburn Police Service, 400 Coteau Avenue. Appointments are not required.
A police record check is current as of the date it is completed. It is your employer/prospective employer or organization's function to determine if the record check is current enough. The Weyburn Police Service shall have no responsibility or obligation to make such a determination.
Incomplete applications (ie: no identification provided, authentication aborted / failed / not completed or further information requested) and applications requiring in-person attendance will remain in the processing queue for no more than sixty days from the time of initial application. Fees are non-refundable and incomplete applications are considered 'abandoned' and removed from the processing queue after sixty days.
