This type of check is designed specifically for applicants who will be working or volunteering with vulnerable individuals.
Applicants working or volunteering in areas such as, teaching, nursing, coaching or where vulnerable persons may be present would require this type of check.
Similar to the standard Criminal Record Check, this check confirms whether or not the applicant has a record of criminal convictions in Canada where fingerprints were obtained. It also provides a review for possible criminal convictions related to sexual offenses for which the applicant may have received a pardon or record suspension.
