Welcome to the Moose Jaw Police Service online process for people who need a criminal record check for volunteer or employment purposes. This system allows you to apply for a criminal record check 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the comfort of your home.
All aspects of the process including verification of your identity and payment are handled electronically.
If there are no concerns or follow-up required, your criminal record check will be mailed to you or available for pick-up at our station. If you do not have computer access, you can still apply in person at the Moose Jaw Police Service.
To file an online criminal record check, visit the Moose Jaw Police Service website at www.mjpolice.ca. Click on the criminal record check icon and fill in your information. You have now started the process where there will be step-by-step instructions for you to follow.
You will have to select whether the criminal record check is for employment or volunteer reasons and then proceed to fill out all of the required information fields. Once your information is filled out, you will be directed to a secure payment process. Payment is accepted online by credit or debit card.
Online identity confirmation is then performed by our partners, Forrest Green and TransUnion who are licenced consumer credit reporting agencies. Your credit information is not shared with police, and will only be used to confirm your identity. Once your identity has been confirmed, your application is sent to the Moose Jaw Police Service and we will conduct and prepare your criminal record check.
You will be notified when the process is complete.
