Police Record Checks

Welcome to the London Police Service's online application system for police record checks. This system allows you to apply for a police record check 24 hours a day without having to attend our facility. All aspects of the process - including verification of your identification, fee payment and completed record check results - are handled electronically. If there are no concerns or follow-up required, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to securely download your police record check certificate.

The estimated turnaround time for online applications is 2 – 4 weeks.

You cannot apply on behalf of someone else. Authentication questions will be based on the applicant's personal credit file, and the questions are timed to ensure a prompt response and to further enhance security and privacy. If your ID verification is unsuccessful, you will receive an e-mail with instructions to upload your identification and continue your online application.

Please note, to get a police record check completed you must be a resident of the City of London.
